Strelitzia Juncea is a dramatic architectural plant perfect for outdoor spaces in New Zealand. Unlike the standard Bird of Paradise, this variety has tall, narrow, reed-like leaves that create a striking sculptural silhouette. It thrives in full sun, tolerates wind, coastal exposure and dry conditions, and develops strong clumping growth over time.

This hardy perennial is ideal for modern landscaping, subtropical gardens, pot, poolside plantings or creating structure in outdoor areas. With the right conditions, mature plants may also produce the iconic orang and blur Bird of Paradise flowers, adding even more visual interest.
